Prepares and oversees the annual chapter budget; including a midyear review. This committee consists of past and present Treasurers, past and present Presidents and at least one Ways and Means Committee member.
Oversees our annual Lego building contest with local elementary schools, including choosing the school to participate.
Directs membership recruitment efforts, heads new member installations and maintains and distributes the current roster. Responsible for coordinating the Chapter's mentoring efforts, including setting up all new members with a mentor, along with supporting both mentees and mentors as needed.
Professional Development & Education works with the membership to set-up speakers/ programs/ tours or events for all monthly membership meetings. Maintains yearly calendar of meetings.
Develops and maintains all current content on chapter social media outlets, currently including Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn and the Chapter website. Works with local media on press releases.
Creates programs/ events for WIC week, which runs Sunday- Saturday during the full first week of March
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion develops rapport among WIC members, providing a safe space for women to share their stories, promote each other, and promote diversity in the industry.
Works with OSU Foundation and any other chosen Foundations to select and honor our annual scholarship recipients. Handles all financial matters with regard to our scholarship programs.
Oversees our Chapter fundraising initiatives including Golf Tournament, Silent Auction and/ or any other fundraising event the Chapter agrees upon.
Selects meeting locations. Oversees Christmas Party, Industry Appreciation Dinner and Installation of Officers programs.
Works with membership to gather chapter info and to publish it in a monthly newsletter.
Selects and vets the slate of officers for the upcoming year. This committee consists of one board member and at least two voting non-board members. Short-term committee for 3-4 months each year. Chosen from membership volunteers.
Takes photos at meetings and events and compiles the President's scrapbook.
Presents monthly safety programs and forwards safety programs/ information from Nation office to the members.
Responsible for creating and updating the Chapter's rolling Strategic Plan, including submissions of reports to the Regional Director.
Keeps order at the meetings and makes sure proper procedure is followed using Robert's Rules of Order plus our National By-laws, Chapter Standing Rules and Chapter Guidelines and Traditions. Also responsible for annual reviews/ updates/ distribution to all members of the Chapter Standing Rules and the Chapter Guidelines and Traditions.
